The movie JarRing is inspired by true events. Like the irresistible siren song of Homer’s Odyssey, the Killing Jar Murderer lured potential victims with perversely poetic voice messages. Aghast with gruesome details of this case, stories about Phone Psycho became urban legend: “Frankenstein’s got nothing on this freak.” A tempest of riddles, messages, body parts preserved in jars, and victims carefully selected from a roster of caller IDs, the movie recalls a series of monstrous events that happened over fifteen years ago in Florida and continue to haunt.
